Sometimes, you want to know the weight of an empty spool so you can calculate how much filament you have left on the spool. Here’s the weights of some of the spools I’ve used, along with the dimensions of the spools.

It’s also useful if you’re designing a printer or spool holder. The worst case scenario so far for 1kg and smaller spool sizing is 93mm wide, a 19mm inner core diameter, and a 220mm outer diameter.
note: A few of these values are estimates, based on the assumption that similar looking from different vendors are identical, some are pulled from the internet. Some vendors use multiple spool types or change spools.
